Don Bosco had made his famous promise, stating, "For you I study, for you I work, for you I live, for you I am ready even to give my life" and had fulfilled it with the approach, known as the Preventive System, centered on reason, religion, and loving-kindness. Moving with same zeal and spirit in mind and heart, the community of Don Bosco Alirajpur organized the English Spoken Camp for the Vocation boys (Catholic Students of Different parishes of Jhabua Diocese). The camp was focused only for the boys who showed keen interest to discern their life to become religious priests or brothers. This Camp was conducted over a month-long period, beginning from March 31 to April 30, 2026.
The whole program was structured to provide a balanced experience of growth in the English Language, improvement in self-confidence, and engagement in joyful procreative activities. Significant liturgical celebrations of the Holy Week were observed with reverence, offering participants opportunities for deeper spiritual understanding.
Throughout the camp, a wide range of activities and competitions were organized, including literary, cultural, and sports events. These included reading, loud reading, handwriting, essay writing, singing, dancing, and various quizzes, alongside games such as Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Volleyball and Basketball. Regular assessments were also conducted to evaluate progress in the child’s ability to grasp and speak in English.
In addition to structured activities, leisure and community-building events such as movie screenings, a picnic, and a campfire were incorporated to build friendship and provide apt relaxation. Preparatory sessions were held toward the end of the camp to ensure readiness for the final evaluation and the concluding celebration. The highlight of the final day of the camp was the program put up by the children through dances, songs and skit, to showcase their inner talents to their families. The children were generously rewarded for all their hard work as they received prizes for the same.
The camp concluded with a formal closing ceremony presented by the boys for their parents, who came to witness what their children acquired in a month.
Overall, the camp was marked by active participation, holistic development, and a cheerful ambience, contributing to a meaningful and enriching experience for all involved.
