AmrutDhara Don Bosco Animation Centre, Kapadvanj, under the leadership of Ashwin Macwan, successfully organized a three-day residential Faith Formation Camp for Catholic children aged 9 to 17 from April 27 to 30, 2026. Centered on the theme “Beautiful journey of Faith Love and Hope” the camp aimed at deepening the faith of young participants and strengthening the spiritual foundations they have received.
The camp began on April 27 with a prayer service and lively icebreakers that helped participants get to know one another. The children were divided into eight teams, fostering teamwork, healthy competition, and active participation throughout the camp.
The following days were filled with enriching sessions on key aspects of the Catholic faith, including Sacraments, the Ten Commandments, Tenets of Faith, Bible Study, Lives of Saints, Liturgy, and devotional singing. These sessions were animated by dedicated lay collaborators, religious, and catechists, ensuring both clarity and engagement. Morning meditations with Bible sharing helped the children reflect deeply on God’s Word.
Alongside serious sessions, a variety of creative and recreational activities such as Bible Quiz, Creative Expression, “Jesus Nite,” Talent Show, and Camp Fire were organized, making learning both joyful and memorable. The children responded enthusiastically, actively participating in all sessions and activities. The individual and team point system further motivated them, especially in learning prayers and demonstrating their knowledge.
On April 29, Mr Raju Parmar, catechist from Don Bosco Dakor, conducted an insightful session on the Eucharist and respect for holy things. The same evening, during the Eucharistic celebration, Fr Macwan creatively explained the faith through engaging illustrations, making the message both understandable and impactful.
The camp reached its climax during the Camp Fire Talent Show, where children showcased their talents through meaningful performances that reflected their learning and personal growth.
The camp concluded on April 30 with the Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr Pratap Damor SDB, Rector of Don Bosco Kapadvanj. This was followed by a felicitation and prize distribution ceremony, where each child was recognized and appreciated. Fr Ashwin Macwan expressed gratitude to the Salesian community, SYM volunteers, and lay collaborators for their dedicated service. He encouraged the children to keep Jesus at the center of their lives.
The camp proved to be a grace-filled experience, leaving participants with renewed faith, joyful memories, and a deeper commitment to live their Christian life.
