On June 15, 2026, the new academic year at Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik commenced with great enthusiasm, joy, and renewed energy on the very first day. Students were warmly welcomed with gifts, along with a variety of games, cultural activities, and motivational programmes organized to make their return to school a memorable experience. After the summer vacation, the excitement of meeting friends and teachers was clearly visible on the students’ faces, creating a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere across the campus.

The programme began with a prayer service, followed by the welcome of the dignitaries. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the auspicious beginning of the new academic year. The audience was captivated by a graceful prayer dance performed by the students. A thought-provoking skit with a social message and a melodious song presentation further enriched the programme and were appreciated by all present.

On this occasion, the newly appointed Rector, Fr Wyman, was warmly welcomed and honoured with a token of appreciation. In his inspiring address, he said, “The moment you enter the gates of this campus, we are friends. We grow together and soar high together.” He also announced the theme for the academic year, “YOU ARE NOT ALONE,” encouraging students to support and grow together as a family. Mrs Sujata introduced Fr Leon to the gathering. Fr Leon was also felicitated on his birthday, and heartfelt wishes were extended by the school community.

The newly joined teachers were warmly welcomed with gifts and introduced to the school community. Their arrival added to the joy and enthusiasm of the day as they began their journey as members of the Don Bosco family.

The Principal, Fr Rixson, addressed the students and extended his best wishes for the new academic year. He motivated the students to achieve success through discipline, hard work, a positive attitude, and value-based education. He urged them to utilize the opportunities provided by the school and strive for excellence in all their endeavours.

The event concluded on a positive note, creating an atmosphere of joy among students, teachers, and parents. The academic year began with new hopes, fresh dreams, and vibrant energy.
