“Do everything through Mary, with Mary and for Mary.” — St. John Bosco

 The day at St. Anne’s Parish, Ahilyanagar, began not merely with a quiz, but with the most important lesson of all—coming to know Jesus and allowing Him to know us. The parish Catechism children gathered for a special quiz programme organised by the Parish youth, along with Fr. Nathaneal George SDB.

 Following the Sunday Eucharist, the children took part in an engaging quiz on the life of Mary, focusing on Scripture and other facts. Fr. Nathaneal George SDB served as the Quiz Master, guiding the children through questions that encouraged them to discover Mary not merely as a figure from the Bible, but as the Mother who continually leads us towards her Son, Jesus.

 The quiz began with something wonderfully simple - a Hail Mary. It was a fitting reminder of Don Bosco, who placed his entire work under the maternal protection of Mary Help of Christians, beginning his great works with trust in her intercession. "Trust in Mary and you shall know what miracles are." -St. John Bosco.

 Following the style of a usual ‘Marian Nite’ held at a formation house, the programme was more than a test of knowledge and memory. It became an invitation for the children to know Mary, love Mary and imitate her faith. Through games and questions based on Scripture, Dogmas, Marian apparitions and other areas, the children were encouraged to deepen their relationship with the mother of Jesus. The main aim being to grow in the knowledge and understanding of who Mary is. The games sought to help the children learn in a fun way many facts of Mother Mary.

 The event culminated with a simple prize distribution. It was a moment for the teachers and students to participate and work as a team. Thus, the enthusiasm of the children, the dedication of the teachers and the participation of the youth created an atmosphere of joy and fraternity. Everyone present shared in the spirit of the day, and the programme became a beautiful expression of the parish community’s enduring love and devotion towards Mary, our Mother.

 The gathering concluded with a short prayer and the traditional group photograph, leaving behind not only smiles and memories, but also a renewed desire in the young hearts to turn to Mary and, through her, draw ever closer to Jesus.
