The Sr. KG Graduation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at St Dominic Savio High School, Andheri, marking a proud milestone in the lives of the young learners. The assembly hall was filled with excitement as the little graduates, dressed smartly in black robes and caps, marched in confidently. Escorted by their teachers and warmly applauded by their proud parents, the young Savions beamed with joy, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment, making the occasion truly memorable for everyone present.
The programme commenced on a delightful note with the Jr. KG students presenting a heartwarming performance. Their soulful prayer dance created a serene and graceful beginning, setting the tone for the celebration. This was followed by an energetic dance performance, which brought smiles and applause from the audience. Their innocence and enthusiasm added charm and vibrancy to the event.
The Sr. KG students then had their special moment as they sang the graduation song, ‘When I Was an Infant,’ beautifully reflecting their journey through the early years of learning. They also presented a touching song, expressing heartfelt gratitude to their alma mater, the management, parents, and teachers for the love, care, and guidance they have received.
Addressing the gathering, Rector and Manager Fr Francisco Pereira congratulated the young graduates on successfully completing this important stage of their academic journey. He encouraged them to dream big, remain determined, and continue striving towards their goals. He also shared words of wisdom with parents, urging them to support and nurture their children’s aspirations, while appreciating the teachers for their dedication, patience, and commitment in shaping young minds.
The highlight of the celebration was the graduation ceremony. The students proudly recited their motto and pledge, symbolising their readiness to step into a new phase of learning. They were then awarded their diplomas by Fr Francisco Pereira and Principal Ms Valerie Mascarenhas, making it a proud and emotional moment for parents, teachers, and students alike.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Pre-Primary Coordinator Ms Dillian Veyra, who expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the grand success of the event.
