The parishioners of Mary Help of Christians Church came together to celebrate Grandparents' & Parents' Day at Don Bosco High School, Naigaon East, on Sunday, July 26, 2026, immediately after the 8 a.m. Holy Mass. Organised by the Catechism Department of the Parish, in collaboration with the Youth Group, the programme witnessed an enthusiastic participation of nearly 400–500 parishioners, making it a memorable celebration of love, gratitude, and family values.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the emcees, who greeted the gathering and set the tone for the celebration. The audience was then treated to a delightful action song by the toddlers, whose innocence, enthusiasm, and charming performance brought smiles to everyone present. Adding a heartfelt touch to the occasion, the Catechism students of Std X delivered a moving speech expressing their sincere love, gratitude, and appreciation for the invaluable role played by grandparents and parents in shaping their lives. Their words beautifully reflected the importance of family, faith, and the sacrifices made by elders.

The celebration continued with a lively dance performance by the young Catechism students, portraying the unconditional love, care, and countless sacrifices made by parents for their children. The Youth Group then enthralled the audience with an energetic and meaningful dance that paid tribute to grandparents and parents as the pillars of every family, whose guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support form the foundation of strong Christian homes.

A special highlight of the programme was the inspiring message delivered by our Parish Priest, Fr Royal D’Abreo. In his address, he encouraged everyone to cherish family values, strengthen bonds of love and respect, and remain firmly rooted in their faith. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the parents and grandparents for their selfless love, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to nurturing their children with strong Christian values and guiding them in the path of faith. He reminded families that parents are the first educators of their children and that a home built on prayer, love, and mutual respect lays the foundation for responsible, compassionate, and God-fearing individuals. He concluded by urging every family to remain united in Christ, trusting that homes centred on faith become a source of hope, strength, and blessings for society.

The celebration concluded with prayers and blessings for all grandparents and parents, beautifully reflecting the spirit of gratitude, love, and unity that continues to strengthen our parish family. The programme created an atmosphere of joy, appreciation, and togetherness, reminding everyone of the invaluable role that parents and grandparents play in nurturing children with love, faith, and strong moral values. Held under the loving patronage of Mary Help of Christians, the celebration reflected her maternal care and served as a reminder of the importance of nurturing families rooted in faith, love, and Christian values.
