On July 17, 2026, Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, organized a Career Guidance Seminar on Company Secretaryship for the students of Std. X, XI Commerce, and XII Commerce. Conducted under the guidance of Principal Fr Rixson Nigrel, the programme aimed to familiarize students with the opportunities and career prospects in the field of Company Secretaryship.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the gathering. Students and staff assembled with enthusiasm to participate in the informative session designed to guide them in making well-informed career choices.

This was followed by the introduction of the guest speaker, Ms Deepti Chandratre, a distinguished resource person from the The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. The audience was briefed about her professional experience and expertise in the field of Company Secretaryship.

As a mark of appreciation and respect, the guest speaker was then felicitated by the school management. The gesture reflected the institution’s gratitude for her willingness to share her knowledge and experience with the students.

In his address, Principal Fr Rixson Nigrel emphasized the importance of career guidance programmes in helping students discover their strengths and make informed decisions about their future. He encouraged the students to explore diverse career opportunities and pursue their goals with dedication, confidence, and perseverance.

The highlight of the programme was the seminar conducted by Ms. Deepti Chandratre. She provided valuable insights into the Company Secretary (CS) profession, explaining its significance in corporate governance, legal compliance, and strategic management. She also guided students through the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET), explaining the eligibility criteria, examination structure, registration process, and preparation strategies. Furthermore, she outlined the academic journey from Std X onwards and explained the various stages involved in becoming a qualified Company Secretary.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and seeking clarification on career prospects, internships, course duration, and future opportunities in the profession. The resource person addressed all queries with clarity and enthusiasm, making the session engaging and informative.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, staff members, and students for their valuable contribution to the success of the seminar. The event proved to be an enriching experience, leaving students inspired, informed, and better prepared to plan their academic and professional futures.
