On August 14, 2026, Don Bosco School & Junior College, Nashik, in collaboration with the Scouts & Guides and Cubs & Bulbuls Unit, organised a Blood Donation Camp at the school campus. The camp was conducted in association with Arpan Blood Bank, Nandkishor Education Society, with the noble aim of encouraging voluntary blood donation and creating awareness about its importance.
The initiative was taken by the Principal, Fr Rixson Nigrel sdb, whose commitment to fostering the spirit of service and social responsibility among the school community inspired the organisation of the camp. Under his guidance, the school community came together to support this meaningful cause.
The camp witnessed a spirit of compassion, service and social responsibility. The participation of the Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls added a meaningful dimension to the programme, reflecting the values of discipline, service and concern for others. The camp provided an opportunity for eligible donors to come forward and contribute towards saving precious lives.
The medical team from Arpan Blood Bank ensured that the donation process was conducted systematically and safely. Donors were guided through the necessary procedures and provided appropriate care before, during and after blood donation. Volunteers and organisers worked together to facilitate a smooth and well-coordinated camp.
The programme also served as an awareness initiative, reminding the school community that a single blood donation can become a lifeline for someone in need. Through such initiatives, students and members of the school community were encouraged to understand the importance of selfless service and active participation in community welfare.
The Blood Donation Camp was a meaningful expression of the Don Bosco spirit of service to society. It reinforced the message that “Save Life, Give Blood” is not merely a slogan but a responsibility that can make a real difference to those in need. This successful initiative reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing compassionate, responsible and socially conscious citizens.
