Chinchwad (Pune), July 28, 2026: Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Chinchwad, organized a Free General Health Check-up Camp for the residents of Mahatma Phule Nagar Slum, Chinchwad, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The camp was conducted under the Women Empowerment Project, supported by AXA Global Business Services. A total of 85 beneficiaries (62 women, 10 men, and 13 children) received medical consultations and health check-ups during the programme.
The medical examinations were conducted by Dr Vaishanvi Gawhare (B.H.M.S.). All beneficiaries underwent basic health screenings, including blood pressure (BP), body temperature, and oxygen saturation (SpO₂) checks.
During the camp, the medical team diagnosed common health conditions such as joint pain, fungal infections, common cold, calcium deficiency, gastric disorders, eye problems, and skin infections. Free medicines were distributed to all patients according to their medical needs and diagnoses.
The programme was also graced by the visit of Fr Shekar, Director of DBTI Chinchwad, who interacted with the medical team and beneficiaries. Father expressed his sincere appreciation to Dr Vaishanvi Gawhare for her dedicated service and valuable contribution to the health camp. He thanked her for her commitment to serving the underprivileged community and offered his prayers and best wishes for her continued good health, strength, and success in her noble mission.
All DBDS staff members actively participated in the camp and efficiently managed the registration, coordination, and other logistical arrangements, ensuring the smooth and successful implementation of the programme. The camp concluded successfully, benefiting the community by promoting preventive healthcare and improving access to essential medical services.
