Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul, successfully organized the fourth edition of its Model United Nations conference (DBSN MUN '26) on July 17–18, 2026. A key element of the school’s experiential learning initiative, the event focused on shadow diplomacy, policy-making, and global crisis resolution. The platform brought together 190 delegates—90 from over 20 external schools and 100 in-house students—for intensive debate and problem-solving.

 The conference was supported by 16 Executive Board members, 50 Organizing Committee members, and lead teachers Tr Parul and Tr Yogita Pokhriyal, alongside supporting teachers Tr Anisa, Tr Samruddhi, and Tr Shiny.

 The event opened with an inspiring Inaugural Ceremony presided over by Chief Guest Rector Fr Dr Barnabe D'Souza. The occasion was graced by Principal Mrs Kalyani Chaudhuri, Administrator Fr Allwyn Misquitta, Vice Principal Br Royston Colaco, Catechist Fr Joyston Machado, Curriculum Head Mrs Cleona Quadras, and Supervisors Mrs Lisa Dominic and Mrs Mahek Khan.

 Following his felicitation by Principal Chaudhuri, Fr Dr D'Souza delivered an uplifting keynote address "The world does not just need clever arguers; it needs empathetic listeners and collaborative problem-solvers."

 Teachers-in-charge introduced the Secretariat. Addresses were given by Secretary-General Abhiroop Shetty and Chargé d'affaires Mihika Pandey, while Director General Kimaya Shitkar introduced the Executive Board. With the strike of the gavel, DBSNMUN '26 was officially declared open.

 Delegates engaged in rigorous caucus sessions, resolution drafting, and negotiations across nine distinct committees:

• UN Security Council (UNSC): Led by Co-Chairs Aditya Tripathi and Utkarsh Patil, addressing Iran-Israel tensions.

• UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC): Led by Chair Adit Kumar and Vice-Chair Arjun Mishra, tackling transnational crime and trafficking.

• All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM): Led by Chair Ansh Morey and Vice-Chair Ranveer Singh, evaluating India's Anti-Defection Law.

• Historical Lok Sabha (HLS): Led by Chair Gaurav Sharma and Vice-Chair Devkrishna B., analyzing the 1991 Balance of Payments Crisis.

• Special Crisis Committee (SCC): Led by Chair Jai Melwani and Vice-Chair Shiv Talesara, executing crisis simulations on shadow diplomacy.

• SDG 16 (Junior Delegates): Led by Co-Chairs Yog Rai and Neetsaachee Ahuja, exploring democratic governance.

• Multiverse Crisis Committee (MCC): Led by Chair Dhruv Mishra and Vice-Chair Renée Rodrigues, addressing fictional inter-dimensional scenarios.

• International Press: Managed by Media Journalism (Chair Shriya Rajan) and Media Photography (Chair Deon Dandekar).

The conference concluded with an Award Ceremony featuring Guest of Honour Ms Divya Mohan—a technology advocate and international diplomat—alongside school dignitaries. Ms Mohan praised the delegates for their research and diplomatic poise. After outstanding delegates were honoured, Principal Chaudhuri urged students to carry lessons of empathy into daily life. The Secretariat officially closed the event, leading into the "Socials" celebration.
